Getting into Digital: AutoMate's First Inkjet Retrofit

The label provider recently installed a Colordyne 17-inch UV inkjet engine in its Burlington, NC location. This marks the beginning of the converter's digital journey. Prior to meeting Colordyne, AutoMate had no prior digital equipment or experience when their team and Colordyne met at an industry tradeshow. Automate was exploring available solutions in the market for digital or hybrid label production and found in Colordyne's team and technology the perfect partner.

Colordyne team of expert engineers and technicians have worked closely with the AutoMate team before, during and after the installation process earlier this year. Recently, a Colordyne press operator was on-site at AutoMate's Burlington, NC location training the AutoMate team.

Label converters and print providers can retrofit a digital print engine onto existing flexo equipment without major disruptions to current operations.
